Running UTA22
UTA22 offers a genuine introduction to mountain trail racing in the Blue Mountains. The course begins at Queen Victoria Hospital in Wentworth Falls, drops into Kedumba Valley, and finishes at Scenic World in Katoomba.
It is a course that asks for more than basic fitness. You need climbing strength, downhill control, confidence on uneven terrain, and enough composure to handle the sting of the final ascent.
What you'll encounter
A long descent into Kedumba that demands restraint early.
Technical trail and uneven footing through the valley.
A sustained final climb, including the famous Furber Steps.
Climbing strength · downhill control · mountain pacing
